So that this effect and a healthy drink are no longer mutually exclusive, we have created a new product series for you: All of our magical Matchatto creations are now also available with a touch of coconut blossom sugar.

What is coconut blossom sugar?


Coconut blossom sugar is obtained from the nectar contained in the blossoms of the coconut palm. To do this, the inflorescences are scratched, the nectar collected and boiled down until a powdery mass is formed.

This gentle process means that most of the valuable minerals and vitamins remain in the sugar. The precious ingredients include potassium, iron and zinc. The taste of coconut blossom sugar is aromatic, with a slightly caramel-like note that harmonises perfectly with our Matcha tea .

The extraction of coconut blossom sugar is particularly sustainable because the coconut palms do not have to be felled for this, but can often feed a whole generation of people.

A number of studies indicate that matcha tea can help lower blood sugar levels . This is because one of the most important beneficial ingredients, the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), slows down the breakdown of starch so that the blood sugar level rises more slowly.

So it fits perfectly that coconut blossom sugar is one of the lower-glycemic foods that enter the bloodstream a little more slowly than e.g. B. normal industrial sugar and thus also ensure that the blood sugar level does not rise sharply.
